![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I don't think the machine is even up to the specs but apparently it runs quite well. My wife runs WOW on her 2014 MBA - let me tell you something about loud. The aluminum unibody seems to be quite effective at dissipating heat. Also worth noting that while the bottom will get hot to the touch, only a few minutes after quitting the game it'll be cool to the touch again. I also use a laptop cooling pad - it's a nice comfortable tilting one that I've had for a while and most of the time I don't even plug it in - so that probably helps a little too. It must just take some time to adjust - I just haven't ever timed it because I forget about it, what with the game being a pretty big distraction and all. It'll run wild for a little while (maybe not even a minute), then go quiet and repeat the cycle a few times until it seems to finally settle down and run at a more constant and moderate rate. My 2012 cMBP goes a little crazy too, especially when after first entering the city. Are you running the game in full "retina" resolution? If so, that's an awful lot of pixels to draw (and I'd have to wonder how you'd even be able to read the screen). ![]()
